HOW THESE TESTS WORK

Licensed test users can order tests by telephone: (602) 234-3506, fax: (602) 266-8227, e-mail: hhl@riskandneeds.com or directly from this website by clicking on the How To Order link.  Test users are licensed by Risk & Needs Assessment, Inc. prior to their using these domestic violence tests.  This licensing procedure is explained on the Cost (Test Unit Fee) webpage.

Licensed test users order DOS or Windows diskettes containing 25 or 50 test applications.  If your computer does not have a 3 1/2 floppy drive, you can purchase a stand alone or external USB 3 1/2 floppy drive for approximately $40.00.  This will enable your computer to use floppy diskettes.  Most orders are filled and placed in the same days return mail.  However, you should allow up to seven or eight working days for delivery.  Upon receiving your order you are ready to use your domestic violence offender tests.

DOS diskettes are self-contained.  Simply place them in your computer and they are ready to use.  Windows diskettes require a one-time per computer set-up.  Set-up software is available on CD.  Once the program software is installed, it is not necessary to re-use the software again and is by the request of Risk & Needs to be returned after use.

All Risk & Needs diskettes have a built-in shelf life of 13 months.  This means 13 months after they are received they will stop functioning.  This is done to insure only current up-to-date diskettes are used in the field.  Risk & Needs performs a database analysis on all returned diskettes annually.  If you haven't used all of the test applications on your diskette by the 13th month, return it to Risk & Needs so unused tests can be credited to your account and you will be sent a new diskette so you can continue testing.

Upon using all of the test applications on a diskette, you return these used diskettes to Risk & Needs.  Upon their receipt all test data is downloaded into that tests expanding database for subsequent research analysis.  It should be noted that before mailing used diskettes back to Risk & Needs, we encourage you to use Risk & Needs proprietary delete all client names from the diskette program.  This is free and involves a few key depressions.

Each diskette has a built-in counter that alerts you to the number of tests used and the number of months remaining on your diskettes 13 month lifespan.  These alerts appear on your screen towards the end of a diskettes operational life.
